That depends on a lot of factors. First, are you wanting to completely stand out and be set apart from the rest? Then put on as much as you want, in whatever color you feel like.

If, on the otherhand, you're just wanting to look refined and "grown up", then I recommend the following:

During the day while you're out at school, running errands or participating in extracurricular activities, keep it simple. A neutral or light color with masacra is about all you really need.

In the evenings when you're going out, you can go a little darker with your colors and/or with the amount of eyeshadow you apply. In this case, you have a few options... a brighter sparkly color to pop on your lids, along with some liner and mascara... or you might choose to place a lighter color (like white or yellow) on your lid, and then enhancing your eye by applying a darker color in the crease area and, again, complementing all of that with liner and masacra.

I, personally, never recommend more than two colors... otherwise you start running the risk of looking like Mimi from the Drew Carey show. {shudder}

Lastly, just go to the local library (if you're short on cash) and look at the latest fashion magazines they have there... you should get plenty of advice about appropriate makeup application for the current "in" look.

Good luck.

There is no law as to how much you should put on. The beauty of makeup is that you choose what is best for you. I personally have a thick set of brows and full set of lashes, but I still apply eyeliner and eye shadow because my eyes look better with them. Also, the distance between your eyes and brows determine the thickness of your darker eye shadow.

The correct way is brow pencil for the brows, eye liner for the under eyes, mascara for the lashes and a darker shade of eye shadow on bottom of the eyelid and lighter shade on top. Also you may want to want to put a liquid eye liner on the bottom of the eyelids after applying eye shadow. Also there is the smugging approach, with your eye shadows on your eyes, use a smugger to blend both together before you put on your liquid eyeliner.

it really depends on age, and whether it is for day or evening. But you really shouldnt cake it on then you look like Tammy Fay Baker. And dont make the mistake of going too dark unless you like the gothic look. Choose a complimentary color to your skin and hair tones

It really depends on where you are going. If your doing a daytime look go light on the eyemakeup. If your doing a nighttime look go heavy.

you want it to look more natural and bring out what you have and cover flaws. play around alittle bit if you feel like you look like too much of a clown then try something else if your face feels too naked apply more.

depends on how dark you wanna go. or how natural you wanna look..but start out with less, because if you put on too much, then you have to start ALL over again!
