Well it could be a few things, your players are on teams that have been already kicked out of the tournament, players who are not playing (not the ones that normally start or are substitutes). I have a zero beside this one defender I have for Italy, obviously he has not played a single game in the tournament so far.. Injured players too... You have to know who is injured and who the squad normally has in their starting line-up...
I am not sure if you realize you have to put the players that are playing games every day on the field.... transfer from bench to active and then pick you captain which is the player you think will score the most points that day (he's points will be x2) You can choose a new "active" team every day of the tournament.
