It was the job of Kitchen Police (KP) in the military. My job, straining garbage, was to search through through it for broken glass. This garbage was sold to pig farmers, and any broken glass would injure or kill the pigs.
There were 3 of us performing this job, and we were given a separate area in the barracks. However the job only lasted a week.

I worked at Papa Johns for all of about 35 minutes. They had me study a book about pizza and then tested me on it. Then had me read another book and wanted to test me on it on how to answer the phone and make a pizza and that was for a job making 5.15 an hour. I was not allowed to answer a phone for a week and was supposed to work side by side with another employee, we are talking papa johns not some fancy restaurant. I make 3x that now and never had to go through so much BS. I received a check for 1.36 and still have it today to remind me how much i hate working in fast food.

Doing technical support for Verizon DSL. Sitting in a smelly, sweaty little cubical for eight hours with a headset on listening to people ***** and moan at you because they can't work their computer. I got a headache when I walked in the door and it didn't go away until I fell asleep at night. Times were hard and I had the job for about 10 months until I quit right before they fired me. I will chew off my own leg and eat it before ever going back there again.

I used to work as a tempory for a place that made vinyl cleaned up vinyl spills, next to 800 degree oven, because a regular employee did not like temps. He would cut the paper so he would not have to do his part. He made double what i did. In the heat of summer. the reason the company used temps was vacation time for employees. The vinyl would get all over you like you were dipped in tar.

1954 - Ireland - a butchers with its own slaughterhouse. Now that would make your eyes water. It was a Summer job and I can honestly say that it nearly made me a vegetarian for a long time afterwords. The bits and pieces, the smells, the sights, the sounds all combined to turn my insides out.............

I had a job working at a T-shirt printing company. I was in my early teens, not yet eligible to work, and I was basically sweat-shop labor. They put me in the basement, so as not to be seen! It was dark and dank. I had to clean up the machines, paint, do odds and ends jobs. Ahh, the good 'ole days!

Phone teller at Wells Fargo. I saw first hand how they lie and steal from their customers, including their employees who had bank accounts there. It was so bad that I quit before I got another job.
