The baby is probably getting turned around and that would cause the back pain and strange moving. Just preparing to get ready lol. Good luck and if it keeps up call your doctor.

The baby is probably just turning itself, preparing itself to come out the birth canal. What you are experiencing is normal as are the back pains, there usually very bad the last month or so. I know mine were, so much so I could hardly get out of bed in the morning. But we are not doctors here and in your case being pregnant you should check with your doctor to be on the safe side.. Even just call him/her and describe what you just did here. Most doctor will take calls especially prenatal docs. Good Luck and have a safe and happy delivery.

I wonder if the baby is sunny side up?? My daughter was and it made my back pain unbearable. I also REALLY felt it when I was in labor (epidurals are wonderful) and I did have her vaginally. I don't think that those are contractions. I think the baby is just running out of room and you are achy. Don't worry (I know you don't want to hear it anymore) but it will be over soon. If you can take some warm baths in the evening before bed and if you can afford it go get a prenatal massage. It is worth it. Also they can trigger your pressure points to help you induce labor as you get closer to your due date. But I don't think you are in labor - no. Best of luck to you with a smooth delivery!

Probably not. I had very bad back pain with both of my pregnancies. It's very common. Yes the baby is getting ready at this point to come out, but that doesn't mean that it will this early. By 8 months, all babies start preparing to come out, both of mine were overdue. You're probably thinking of back labour. I had that with my son, but it didn't start until I had been in labour for a few hours. Back labour is usally in combination with regular contractions, which you can't miss. Your whole belly will get hard and then soft etc. God Bless, and congratulations!!

When your having contractions your belly with harden up all around. Push your finger against your forehead , thats how hard your belly feels during a contraction. The pain could be that the baby is dropping, but it is possiable to have the baby early so consult your doctor.

the baby doesn't move during contractions, i have had lower back pain all thro out my pregnancy and im still pregnant and haven't goneinto early labor, i don't think its early labor and i don't think if your having the pains while the baby is moving its more than likely just the baby hitting something because like i said the baby doesn't not move during a contraction. even during a braxton hicks it will not move as it can't move because the tightening that is happening

It may be that the babie's spine is against your spine, causing the pain. But to be honest i would contact the maternity hospital and they would take you in to check. Look out for a show, and count how often the pains are. But usually when you go into lbour the baby doesn't move as it becomes engaged in a certain position...ready to be born. But, like i say...if in doubt, contact your midwife!

If it feels like the baby stretching all over your uterus, then it's not a contraction. If the back pain spreading to the front and your braxton-hicks become more and more painfull, you might want to contact your doctor and make sure.
