She could just need you!! Or she could need to nurse. Even if her tummy is full, nursing calms a baby down. And it is digested quickly,so even if she "just ate", she may be hungry again.

She may be too warm. Or too cool. Or she could have some clothing fitting too tight and hurting her. Or even just a thread hanging from a seam that is wrapped around a toe.

She could be bored. She could be tired and need your help getting to sleep. She may be lonely. She may need to be held or sung to or rocked.

She's little, but she's a *person*. What is bothering *you* when you are upset?

Congratulations on your new baby! First thing trust your own instincts. You know your baby better than anyone. You will learn her language with time. Ask yourself is she cold, or too hot. Does she just need to be cuddled and reassured. One trick that always worked for my children and grandchildren was walking outside with them. Never just let them cry . She is telling you something is not right and being Mom is discovering what that is. Talk to your pediatrician about your concerns . You will find they are a great source to help you raise your little one. Another good source try www.pampers.com. Take care of yourself and be blessed. Give your sweet baby a kiss for me.

It might be colics. My baby had those a lot when she was really young. It could be so many things. My baby had a urinary tract infection and would cry because of it, but I didn't realize this until I took her to the doctor and that's when I found out. A lot of babies get this when they are young, especially baby girls. If she cries a lot to the point where you don't feel like it's normal, you might want to take her to her pediatrician just to be on the safe side.

Could be gas. Try rubbing her tummy, or moving her legs like she's riding a bicycle, that will help her get rid of the gas bubbles that may be in her tummy. Does she have colic or anything?

Maybe tummy pain. If you let them cry it will make it worse because they suck in air and they can not burp themselves. Do not listen to older people who say let them cry it out, this should not be done until they are at least 6 months old . Before then they are crying because they need something even if it is just to be held so they feel secure.

Could be gas. Try burping the baby. Malicon drops work wonders! They are safe to give to the baby and you do not need a prescription.

Newborns tend to get constipated, especially if she is on formula. I used to mix a little of the brown Caro syrup with their formula, in both my kids bottles, when they got fussy. It helps them go if they are constipated. Works like a charm. It could be a lot of things though, maybe she's getting to hot. I bought a vibrating bouncy seat for mine and that always quieted them down, they loved it. Maybe she needs to be burped more.

It may be colic. Try gripe water if you can, rubbing her tummy in a clockwise motion, and winding her by patting her gently on the back to make her burp.

Good luck with her. You do figure them out eventually!
