Try relaxed breathing techniques, and starting from your toes, working up towards your head concentrate relaxing your muscles completely. Myself, usually by the time I make it all the way i'm quite tired and fall into a good sleep. Good luck!

In a pinch you can take Benadryl before bedtime in order to become sleepy, but I wouldn't recommend doing it every night.

You can also try meditating or relaxation exercises before bed. These have helped me tremendously, and I have suffered with insomnia for most of my life.

Golden slumbers
kiss your eyes,
Smiles wait you
when you arise.
Sleep, pretty baby,
Do not cry,
And I will sing a lullaby.

Cares you know not,
For now you sleep,
While over you,
a watch I'll keep.
Sleep, pretty darling,
Do not cry,
And I will sing a lullaby.
