start by trying to get rid of the denominators on the fraction, lets start with the 20 since its the biggest one. multiply both sides by 20.

12 * x = 9, now isolate x, divide both sides by 12

x = 9/12, now we reduce the fraction. notice that both the nominator and denominator is divisible by 3. so divide both by 3, this is okay since you're essentially dividing by 1.

and x = 3/4 or 0.75.

3/5*x=9/20
x=9/20 / 3/5 (get the LCD then divide it with the denominator
times the numerator)
x=9/12 or 3/4

to check : 3/5 * 3/4= 9/20

3/5 * X = 9/20
X = 9/20 * 5/3
X = 3/4
If you wanna answer in decimal that is X = 0.75

3/5 * 3/4 = 9/20
Simplest way, as 3*3 = 9 and 5*4=20

But still

Let
3/5 * x/y = 9/20

then

3/5 * 20/9 = y/x (according to reciprocal theorey)

60/45 = y/x

4/3 = y/x

so, y=4 and x=3

Hope , you like it

I think you're in the first primary :

(3/5) X = 9/20
X=3/4

3/5*x=9/20
cross multiply the fractions since it has the equal sign,
you get:
60=45x
divide both sides with 45 to get x
x=1.33 or 0.75
