Don't quite love opera, but appreciate a gifted voices such as Sarah and Kathleen Battle. Absolute favourite is Andre Bocelli! (still like Pavarotti, but Andre has taken over, in my opinion). Charlotte Church has an amazing voice for her age. (Josh Groban isn't quite opera, but could be classified as semi - what a lovely voice!)

María Callas, Joan Sutherland, Renata Scotto, Kiri Te Kanawa, Jessie Norman, Monserrat Caballé.
With all due respect, Sarah Brightman is very talented and OK, for pop and Broadway, and a few classical pieces, but the ones mentioned above are some of the best of the best.
Danielle Streiff is pretty good too.

Sorry to say I'm not a fan of opera, but my husband is. He loves Sarah Brightman. He also likes Charlotte Church.

Can't say that I'm a fan of Sarah Brightman.
I'm just not fond of that range of voice.
However - Andrea Bocelli!
Now that's a voice!
I can listen to him for hours on end.
