I was bought up in a home where guns were allowed for the purpose of hunting, and I always agreed that the right to bear arms was a right that everyone should have, those of legal age,
but when I read the news anymore, I am not so sure, when I think of all the innocent people that die because of a bullet or a stray bullet it is so unfair, these people don't stand a chance, look at the men and women who are incarcerated for the rest of their lives because they picked up a gun.
On the news the other day, they said if they made the bullets expensive, would it help eliminate some of the killings, maybe a few.
Morality is on a different plain these days, and respect for human lives is dwindling.

Honestly what I have against a physical gun is the primitivity of the weapon. When used as a murder weapon, it strikes me because it is so primitive to go out and kill someone. I know that it is the man, not the gun, that killed the person, but guns can also have malfunctions, so that is not always the case. Another I have against a physical gun is the exposure some young children experience from them. Is it right for a seven-year-old to see her father's gun on the top of a china cabinet?

The honest reason I have against physical guns are the people behind them: the makers and the trigger person. There is only one thing you can do with a gun. But those two persons makes for very dangerous people.

Nothing. I'm a firm believer that crime should be blamed on people, not on the objects that they use (or, rather, misuse) to commit the crime.

I've never owned a gun, and I've never fired one except for when I was in the Navy. But I do believe in people's right to own them, provided they pass the appropriate background checks and so on.

Statistics show that in places where priviate citizens are allowed to defend themselves through gun ownership, crime rates are significantly lower than they are in high gun-control areas.

Wow! people get kill with guns?
and before that with arrows,
and before that with stones,
and before that with sticks,
and before that we just beat each other to death.

Look at England getting rid of guns from law abiding citizens doesn't work for anyone except for the gun toting criminals.

i have nothing against a gun, i own several rifles, and a shot-gun. i love to target shoot, and hunt. i believe in everyone's right to own one, and think we all should. i also believe that we should be able to carry them at all times to protect ourselves, even against law enforcement (who are just as much abusers of power than anyone). i do not have any intent on harming anyone, but would not hesitate to do so if my life or my family's were in danger.

what i have against the gun is that it makes it too easy for people to cause irreparable harm to another person

prior to the gun's invention, if you want to kill someone you pretty much had to work at it

Guns do not kill people. People kill people. Having the weapon handy makes people use the tool instead of their own conscience.
