I know that various dreams were written and explained by ancient Chinese people in a book. I was looking online to explain your dream. So... basically you were killing someone, that actually means you are going to have really good luck, and the weird thing is the more bloody the scene was, the better luck you will have.

Often, dreams don't mean anything.
The brain is just interpreting what it has seen through the day.

For instance:
Your dream could be the reaction of you watching the news.
It was talking about the War in Iraq.
It also said something about a break in at someone's house.
It also mentioned a murder.

Jumbling this all toghether with a hint of "this applies to me" could definately turn out a dream such as yours.

Chill.
It doesn't say anything about your opinions.

I had a dream once where i was running through a factory in an industrial area of a large war torn city in America, with a group of about 8 small children. We were being chased by a man in a light olive colored uniform. I had just enough time to shoo them all down a cat walk and out a side door, as i tried closing it behind us the man reached out and threw it open and pointed the gun in my face and pulled the trigger at point blank range.

I heard the shot, saw the smoke, and saw his face change from anger to wonderment. I was completely unharmed and in his daze i managed to pull the pistol from his hand and shot him in the head.

I caught up to the children and helped them under a chain link fence and into an awaiting truck to take us to safety.

I have that dream, or ones similar to it all the time.

I think our dreams predict things. Not all mine do, but it freaks my family out how i sometimes dream things before they happen. like the time and manner of my grandfathers death, and 9/11 for starters. I dont understand it, and i have no desire to. Because it frankly freaks the hell out of me.

To dream that you kill someone, indicates that heavy stress may cause you to lose your temper and self-control. Consider the person you have killed and ask yourself if you feel any rage towards him or her in your waking life. You may very well be expressing some anger or hatred toward this person. Alternatively, you may be trying to kill or put an end to an aspect of yourself that is represented by the person killed. Identify the characteristics of this person and ask yourself how you do not want to be like him or her.

This dream may also represent a part of you or your life that you wish would leave you alone and stop creating a nuisance. Killing may represent the killing off of old parts of yourself and old habits.

It's a dream, a way of the mind to act on everything that has transpired during the course of a length of time, clearing the pathway to more things that need to be sorted out. Parts of movies, conversations, thoughts, all get tangled into your dreams.

Sounds like some trauma still resides in your conscience. I don't think dreams are much more then worries deep seeded in our brains. I don't think feeling guilty or not guilty makes it anything more then a dream. I think maybe talking to someone like a professional can help rid yourself of anything deep seeded but heck, I dreamed I ran away with Ben Affleck, don't think that makes me a home wrecker....does it? If you have it reoccuring then I would talk to someone.

Dreams are about our unresolved emotions in our conscious state. The scenes merely tell the story of these emotions so we can resolve the situations in our lives that are creating the emotions.

Killing is not about the violence and lawless action of murder. But it can represent in your mind the killing of a particular idea and/or occupation (soldier).

All dreams symbolize events and feelings in your own life. Try to figure out what it could be, who the people in the dream represent and don't take dreams literally. Our minds play tricks...

dreaming or day dreaming of murder is normal for most of us i think, there is only a problem if we act upon those thoughts. plus it may be your subconcince trying to deal with a problem you have in your awake times. this does not mean that you want to kill anyone.
