You know that this is good for people without kids and attached families. But the point they miss is that it is basically running away. If this person was happy then why would they want to just up and leave. You did'nt say they wanted a travelling job like snappin pictures of every country scape or something. What happens when they are actually hurtin because of some lost love or something, won't all the faces their escaping from just be on other peoples face somewhere else? Not reincarnations of them just extra offshoots of the same facial gene...

I used to want to do that all the time. I would always look into moving to the Islands and working in the service industry and just hanging out down there for a while and becoming a beach bum.

I actually had a cousin sell everything he had and bought a sailboat and sailed around the keys and the islands doing odd jobs for about 10 years. I always envied him being able to do that.

Not really. Some people try to fix problems their having on the inside with things from the outside, that doesn't work. Instead of moving, you might try moving on. When people change things about who they are, then they often find themselves in a different place- emotionally. It's called, "healing from the inside out."

Both my hubby and I feel like this sometimes. Our families just get on our nerves so much I'd gladly pack a bag and hoof it somerwhere else if I could. But it wouldn't be fair to our kids.

I'm in the works of making it happen right now! Of course I'm not going to tell you where I'm going because that would defeat the whole purpose.

I did it, I went on foreign exchange. Its awesome to be able to drop off the face of the earth.

I love the feeling of being in control of who talks to me, and when.
It's amazing.

I think we all feel that way sometimes. When the neighbors, people at work, friends, and family get to bothering us. It really doesn't work though, you will get lonely for those you knew and for familiar surroundings. This feeling will pass
