Put an ad in the paper. Go to Guitar Center and post a bulletin. Tons of people are just dying to join a band. Whether they're good or not is a different story.

I'm only 13 most people would say what do you know about it but iv already have got my own band called lost planet and we have recording studios so were pretty successful! Here is what i would say don't be shy ask around you know ask people if they want to play an instrument in the future.if they say yes and its a good instrument for the band then there you go! hey let me know your info about the band you wanna start up! E-mail me at big_n_tasty789@yahoo.com well good luck!

Ideally with some people who can play instruments!

Sorry - sarky comment. ;o)

Decide what sort of sound you like first, then perhaps advertise in a mag like NME for people who can play the instruments you want.
Nex you've gotta find a place to practice - if you're lucky enough to have tolerant parents/ neighbours or have rooms where you can it'll be cheaper. I know a band who practices at the local leisure centre - don't know what sort of arrangement they have...

so what?! so you're 32, look @ Green Day now!!!! all you have too do is hold auditions for members. to get it out into the open, put an add in the paper or put up fliars all over your neigborhood. once you get all your members figure out a band name, a logo, and what genre of band you're gonna have. good luck.

advertise for the other musicians you need i.e. in karrang, other music site or even here.

make up some songs together, do some covers.

go to pubs and clubs and ask them if you can play (open nights are good)

and keep doing it for a while. You will get experience, a following and if you are lucky enough seen.

if not, make yourself a tape/CD of yourselves playing and submit into record companies.

it is what my bro has done with his band and he and i are going to do it too. :)

good luck!

If you have a couple friends who can play guitars and sing, and have a drummer and great sound, then go for it. It takes alot of time and practice. If you are devoted, then it might just happen.

you dont say if you already have members or not, that would be a good start, put a demo together if your talking big, if your good join an ageny and they could get you work, go to auditions and see how people percieve you, what feedback you get
