I'm only 8 wks pregnant but getting more in shape and staying in shape is a big goal of mine. Does anyone have any suggestions as to a good way to stay in shape? I do toning exercises for my arms and legs and I walk where I can. I'm just wondering if anyone has any really good ideas about how to stay in shape while pregnant. Serious answers only please. No sarcasum please.

trying to get into a maternity yoga or step class usually you can go to your local gym and ask about them..they should have alot of different ones

I have had 3 kids and you can do just about anything that you could do, if you weren't pregnant. About anything, except sit-ups, of course! Walking is great, helps w/ possible varicose veins that you may develop later in pregnancy. Hope this helps!

I had triplets so i don't know if this will help. I did my regular excirsiseing (hard core) till the first month. Then I had to do these classes for pregnant people i did those up till the 5th month then i was on bed rest

I did squats and I also laid on my back (always have some to help you up) and I but my legs about 6 inches in the air and held them there.... for about 10 seconds... it helps to keep the belly area straight. I also did some yoga... its relaxing and calming too.

really thats all you can do, maybe try yoga or swimming that will also relive pain that you will start getting soon in ur back ect.
