Write the information verbatim 5 times in a row. Its a known fact that what you write, you tend to remember.

What works best for me is to write down the information I'm trying to memorize on flash cards, and then do the flash cards to see what stuck. I rewrite on a sheet of notebook paper any of the information I forgot, then do the flashcards again. I repeat until I've got it all.

There have been some studies done that show that humans remember information far better if they've actually written it down, instead of just reading it. So, while it may be monotonous, you will probably have far better success if you hand write whatever it is you're trying to remember.

Good luck!

Put different stickers or draw small colored cartoons at the top pages of your notes. I had to memorize lines for a play once and I still know a long speech because it was on the banana page or on the apple page. Something about the association of symbols and colors makes it easier for the mind to organize and recall.

The best way to memorize information is to write it down, go over what you have written again, in pencil (like tracing it), and go over it again for about 4 times. My teacher said that is the best way.

Relate it to something that you can remember. Another idea is to make the information into a song or rhyme... it really helps.

Use a neumonic device. For instance, if your speech has three points, make each one rhyme. Like one, run. Two, zoo. Three, see, etc. You can do it if you try hard enough. Good luck!
