I am looking maps that show various aquifers and that give their extent.

You might try contacting the Wyoming Geological Survey.

As a matter of fact, I live in Wyoming. The most prominent aquifer here is the Madison formation beneath the Bighorn Mountains. The bottled water company Aquvista (all rights reserved and all that legal stuff) actually gets its water from this formation. You might try their website or just use Google (all right reserved and all that legal stuff again) and just search for Madison formation. Another prospect for aquifers in Wyoming would be the Big George.
