First of all, a D&C does NOTHING for the tubes, so ignore the response you got above. A D&C (Dilation & Curettage - NOT "DNC") is a non-surgical procedure where the doctor scrapes the lining of the uterus. D&Cs are done after a pregnancy/miscarriage (evacuation D&C) and as a diagnostic measure in women who are experiencing unexplained heavy bleeding and other specific uterine-related symptoms. So, no, a D&C won't help your tubal occlusion whatsoever. Moving on...the first thing you need to do is find out if in fact you actually DO have a tubal blockage. A hysterosalpingogram is a good way to start diagnosing if in fact that is the case. You can read about how they perform the HSG here: http://www.ivf.com/fert_hysterosalpingogram.html.

Though an HSG cannot technically treat a blockage, sometimes the forcing of the dye used in the procedure through the tubes will actually clear the occlusion; some women have in fact gotten pregnant after an HSG without further intervention. Your doctor may want to, and probably should, perform the HSG in conjunction with a laparoscopy to determine what other problems might present and causing your infertility. Performing the surgery can help treat the underlying cause and may even prevent the need for future IVF protocols. But let's not jump ahead...if you are under 35 and have been trying for a year, or over 35 and have been trying for 6 mons., your first step is to talk to a knowledgeable reproductive endocrinologist. He or she will talk about options and help you decide on the best diagnostics and treatments for your specific case. There is no reason to assume that, with help for whatever may be causing your infertility, you will not be able to have a child. They can perform miracles nowadays, so don't lose hope! Just start by talking to your doc before you psych yourself all out. Good luck and best wishes.

No, you wont be able to have a baby natural,

The diagnosis of tubal factor infertility is initially investigated in most cases with a hysterosalpingogram. This is an x-ray examination performed in the radiology department of the hospital in which contrast material (dye) is injected through the cervix to the uterine cavity. If the fallopian tubes are open the dye flows into the tubes and then spills out to the abdominal cavity. This is documented in a series of x-ray images during the procedure.

However, just because the fallopian tubes are found to be open by this "plumbing" test this does not mean that tubal function is normal. The inside lining of the fallopian tube can be severely damaged even though the tube is open and dye spills into the abdominal cavity on the hysterosalpingogram. Open but scarred tubes may not be able to perform the necessary functions to result in establishment of a normal intrauterine pregnancy. Proper tubal function allows egg pickup and transport, fertilization, and subsequent embryo transport from the fallopian tube down into the uterus where the embryo would implant.

If egg pickup, transport, and fertilization occur properly, but the tubal damage does not allow proper transport of the embryo to the uterus, implantation may occur in the tube resulting in a tubal pregnancy.

You need to go to a doctor to have a procedure called HSP (?). I'm not sure of the proper name but, it is where the doctor will have you get into the exam position and then he will open the cervix with a balloon that is shaped like a donut. Then they will inject dye or water into your uterus and fallopian tubes while doing an ultrasound to see where the dye/water goes and doesn't go. If there is a block, that will usually unblock it when the dye/water is forced up there. Also, if there is a block, they can see where it is and then they will go from there. I had that done and I am glad to say, that I have 4 kids.

If you had a blocked tube, it would show on an ultrasound done by your gyn. Just request you get one and they can look at the "mechanics" of your inner working. Remember that you have two tubes, not just one. You alternate each month as to which side releases the egg each month, so even if you had a "defect" tube, you'd still have the other side. Only a doctor can get in there and take a look to know for sure.

U need to go to gyn and have them do testing. if your tube are block and the Dr can clear them out u can still have a child be invietro were they take your egg out and his sperm and create an embryo and replace it back in you. this I hear cost allot of money!
good luck

I think your doctor can perform a DNC. I think that is where they go in and clean out your tubes. A lot of women have a DNC done after a miscarriage.
