she's not hurt but she just started driving, (had her drivers permit less then a month) we tell her she has to drive right away but we need to convince her she seems scared. Any Ideas ?

I think you're right in that she needs to get back behind the wheel before she gets the 'car in the ditch' event so large in her head that she'd too petrified to drive again.

The best thing might be to take her on some rural roads with not much traffic so she can drive slowly and won't be pressured by other cars' drivers to go faster than she is comfortable with. After several minutes of driving slowly, she will hopefully regain some of her confidence and be able to pick up the speed a little.

An empty parking lot may also work, but I think actual road experience would be best.

Good luck to you and her. Best wishes from NY

You have to get her out there again somehow. Maybe with you or another adult in the car with her. She will be scared and nervous for awhile but she will eventually trust herself driving again. It really helps with and adult beside you encouraging you and letting you know that everything is ok. Good Luck!

Let her be, she will have to do this on her own time. Try not to force the issue. If she's not ready, nothing you can do about it. She don't 'NEED' do drive, unless you need her to for other reasons.. getting her to school etc. She will have to come around in her own time.
