I don't feel they are obligated but the man does have rights. What I did is I knew he didn't want my baby, so I had papers wrote up for him to sign over his rights when I told him. I gave him a week to make up his mind, and he did. He tore up the papers, and hes been there for my child for 3 yrs now. I am so glad I did tell him, I wasn't going to at all. A child NEEDS both parents but most of all a child needs the SAME sex parent. You need to at least tell him, doesn't mean that he will stand up.

Technically no she's not obligated to tell a man after she finds out but she should. It would only be fair to the man that he know that he will be the father of a child and later in life, that child might need to know about the father.

I think he has a right to know but ultimately if she doesn't want him to know if she's either getting an abortion or just doesn't want the guy in her life, its her right. I would say if men dont want the chance of this happening then they should use a condom. Ultimately its the women's body going through all this so its her call.

I think it would only be appropriate. After all, the baby would be 1/2 his. Right?

absolutely if its his he deserves to know never assume its none of his business or that he wont want it or you if he doesn't you don't need him anyway but the guy always deserves to know that he has a child even if it means tracking him down to tell him
