We bought Kalie a tiny cake so she could try and eat it by herself. Went to the park, had some pictures made (she loves camera's) and in the end we built her a castle with blocks and legos and all sorts of stuff.

For my lil boy, We had a huge party, We BBQ'd by my godmothers and had Elmo there. It was a big too-do. Except my lil boy slept through alot of his party.
I had alot of friends and family there it was a great day. It's true the 1st B-day is really for the parents, my son could care less if Elmo was there or not, and he is super in love with Elmo. Have fun!!!

well first birthdays are a huge milestone for parents... but the child won't remember anyway... for my son we invited all his little daycare friends (about 6) to Amazing Jakes (an indoor theme park) although he doesn't remember it was fun for the older children and myself. I got to take him on the little rides and stuff... it wasn't too expensive cause I had the parents buy their children tokens but I provided the food.... Fabian saw the lights and toys and games and heard all the noises of children and people who won prizes.... it was a great 1st birthday. (we also did the little cake thing)
