Hookas: who has tried them and what is it like?

Hookas are also called water pipes because they essentially are a glass blown long vase that is filled with some water. they have pipes that you smoke through, just like a cigarette except it's attached to this vase. on top of it is a small ceramic bowl that is filled with flavored tabacco. Foil covers the tabacco and hot coals are placed on top to light it.

flavors range from double apple, melon, mint, cherry, banana, cappuccino and lots more.

if your not a smoker..you generally won't like it. but if your a social smoker its a fun, relaxing way to hang out with people and pass the time. It smells wonderful and the most popular flavor is double apple. its up to you to try and decide what flavors you like.

Hookas do not generally have marijuana in them. that's just a myth, in some remote places maybe, but no most ppl get a high on the flavored tabacoo and NOT marijuana.

i've tried it and honestly since i'm not a smoker, hate smoking in general, and i have asthma; pretty much the odds are against me. it takes a bit to get used to but you'll manage in the end.

All you do is inhale from the pipe like a normal cigarette and blow the smoke out. Not too complicated really. Don't be alarmed by the bubbles that are created in the vase by your sucking, that's how its works. People tend to get a little buzz from it and are a bit lightheaded. There are tons of places to try them out.

I've tried them. It's a lot like smoking, but with a lighter and fruitier (most flavors are fruit) taste. Don't be fooled by the lightness of the taste though! They are more harmful than cigarettes. It's something like One sheesha (hooka) is equal to one pack of cigarettes.

Oh, I'd like to know too. I was in Tripoli, Libya a couple months ago and in the old city they had places where you could sit down and try a hookah. I was too chicken to try it though, because the tobacco smelled REALLY strong. But since then people have told me it's not as intense as I thought and tastes pretty sweet. So now I wish I had tried it. :)

I have, they are good for big parties or 4/20 b/c 4-8 can puff but they take a lot to fuel (1 o.z.) and are pretty harsh

I heard from a friend who heard from a friend that it's like pulling a five foot tube or doing a gravity hit, watch out for the dirty water

i have not tried one, but it is my ideal job. everyone i know who has has been 100% satisfied. we should definitely legalize the profession everywhere so the gov can quit trying to own our bodies... they already have our minds, isn't that enough?

i have its a solid hit i feel like it is a waste of herbal unless you mix it with a wet tobacco
