If is amazing I agree. When I was a child there was a programme on called Captain Pugwash. One of the characters was called Master Bates and I didn't have a clue that it might be considered rude when we used to talk about it in the playground.

What has happened to the world?

I do think the world has gone mad. You can't please everyone, so why bother trying? I think it is good to not be racist, but when they rename things in a desperate attempt not to offend anyone, it's going too far. Like in schools, they aren't allowed to call it a blackboard, it's a chalkboard. That's not being racist, that's stating the obvious! There was even talk at some point of children not being allowed to be taught "Baa Baa Black Sheep" because it's racist. It's about sheep!!!!

Blame the morality police.

Do you remember the super bowl wardrobe malfunction that lead to the total crackdown on freedom of speech on the air.

Did you know that over 95% of the "thousands of complaints" from that incident came from the phone numbers of just one fundamentalist church group.

The religious fundamentalist Christians are attacking freedom every bit as much as the Islamic fundamentalists. They are just doing it in a diferent way. At least the Islamic fundamentalists are honest about their intentions.

You should post this on Yahoo Message boards, it sounds to me like a rhetorical question. You really aren't looking for an answer and this is "Yahoo Answers."

Good point though.
