My office just moved into a historical house and as wonderful as it is, the wireless connection are now being blocked by things like walls and such. I remember in college(i sound old, only 22 :P)
they had something on the ceilings so you could access the internet anywhere... Any information on those little pieces of heaven?

you are right. i dont need a router, never thought i did, just couldnt remember the name of the enhancer.

You can purchase a (or some) WiFi signal boosters at your local computer store.

I have a wireless router in a different room. I use my wireless laptop which is blocked by 2 walls and a door. I dont think you can block the signal with just a wall. The signal travels with or without walls. I think youre pretty safe.

I think you will want to invest in a wireless signal enhancer. They are either little router looking things you attach near your wireless computer, or they are antennas you can install on the wall that enhances the signal from your router.
