I lost my debit/check card, and I need to get money from my account before I get my replacement card. I've always just used an ATM. Do I just go up to the teller, or do I need to fill something out? I know this sounds like a silly question...but I really don't know! I don't want to seem like an idiot when I go to the bank.

The bank will have withdrawl slips (like deposit slips but for the opposite purpose). You go in with your ID, fill one out (you should have your account number, or they can look it up for you), give the slip and ID to the teller and they give you your money.

Just go in with your ID ready and if you see a withdrawal slip go ahead and fill it out. If not, you just go up to the teller and ask to withdraw $x.xx Some banks do not have withdrawal slips, but a reciept that you sign which becomes your slip.

Do not worry since ATM cards there have been a lot of people who the last time they were in a bank talking to a teller was when they opened their account.

First of all, I hope that you reported your debit/check card lost or stolen.

In the meantime, you can go to the teller at the bank and he/she will have you fill out a withdrawal form. Make sure that you bring photo ID with you.

Okay what you do is go to the teller with a check made out to cash and with your signature on the back. You still have checks right?

Just go up to the teller. They'll ask for proof of ID but you should be good to go otherwise
