I had surgury for diverticulitice about a year and a half ago, ever since then I have a bulge beside my belly button that feels kinda like a small balloon. I dont know if it's just scare tissue or a aneurysum of some sort. Can anyone help? It's about the size of a golf ball or alittle larger.

It does sound like a hernia. Please go to your doctor and tell him what you are worried about and get some answers.

That sounds more like a hernia. If you had an aortic aneurysm rupture, you would be dead by now. You may want to visit your family doctor for more details.

If you think its an aneurysm, DON'T PALPATE IT (don't push on it), they are very dangerous and you should go to the doctor today. But I have no clue what it really is. Aortic aneurysms will be pretty deep inside you (difficult to feel)... But there are such things as intestinal aneurysms which can be just as deadly if they burst... please just go to the doctor...

Your aorta is deep inside your abdomen. I do not believe you would feel an anurysm that easily. If you had laproscopic surgery what you may feel is the scar from it, or perhaps it didn't heal correctly. Go see a doctor.

Your aorta isn't in the front, so it's probably not that, but you should check with your doctor.
