My copy machine is reading (LSU ERROR), what does this meen, how cani fix it?

I was making copies, then all at once, the machine stopped, and the diplay window read [LSU ERROR]

I dont know what was wrong with it, so i turned it off for a 20 seconds, started it back up, and its not reading LSU ERROR

shut off your copier and let it rest for 10 mins.. and turn back on,


if it is still no good, call for repair!

Let's see---most people on these boards are not copy machine repair people....so, all we can do is guess. I'm sure there's a telephone number somewhere in your phone book or in the internet of a copy machine repair place in your area.....but we can take a shot.

Unless we have the machine's operating manual turned to the "troubleshooting" page that lists those error codes, the rest of us are just going to be guessing.

Laser Scanner Unit error -
Probable cause(s):
The Polygon motor in the LSU does
not rotate.
The LSU’s laser beam is
functioning properly.
Possible solution:
Try unplugging the machine for 3 minutes and plugging back in before you do anything else.
If this does not fix it you will need to have it serviced.

The best thing you can do is check the manual of your copier, then if you can't find your manual check the website, most of the coded error were always in the manual for troubleshooting purposes. If you can't find in manual do check your retailer, i'm sure they have a capable technician who can help you.
