How come people on here answer questions about age differences between 18 and 16 year olds an ALWAYS says its statutory rape? In many states the age of consent is 16,17. In my state Massachusetts the age of consent is 16. So if an 18 year old guy sleeps with a 16 year old girl nothing will happen to the guy in every instance, not even if the parents persue it. I just hate how people on here just answer with what they "believe" to be true without actually knowing the facts.

I am not saying that it is right I am just saying that before answering a question people should not just assume that is how it is in every state...In most states it is not.

Actually Ohio's consent age is 16 also

People are just quick to judge. It's okay to have a boyfriend that's 18 and your 16. There's nothing wrong with it. Just ignore there dumb response.

In Ohio its statutory rape if anyone over 18 sleeps with a person under 18.

ok it use to be 16 was statutory rape they changes it and alot of people dont care to follow through with the new laws
i keep track because i am a mom and i have 2 boys and 2 girls so i wanna no when they do get to concent age i can follow them to make sure there not doing anything lol no i just want to keep on it incase my daughter decides to do anything ill no if she is at consent age or not

What are you getting at? any 18 year old should not mess around with a person that is 17 or younger. We have the right to our opinions don't we? when you have a child you might see things differently.
