Probably a few hours. I'm older though, so I think I'd understand. I trust their decisions, and know that if they did, they'd still love me.

I'd just hate to visit 2 families on major holidays though. That would be a pain.

Depends on how their relationship was prior to the divorce.

Some people are sad for a moment b/c all they saw was the good times not realizing that behind the scenes there was a lot going on.

I on the other hand was happy when my parents divorced. They were miserable together and I unfortunately saw it and heard it. So the feeling I remember the most for that event was relief.

My parents divorced when I was 14 and now I'm 24 and still have not gotten over it. It's one of the hardest things to go through but support from friends and other family makes it a little easier.

Unfortunatley, my parent's divorced when I was eight (I'm now twenty-eight). To this day, I haven't completely gotten over it. My Dad has now passed, but I no longer speak to my stepmother. I guess it just depends on how the parents act towards eachother, re-act with the kids, and that they always remember to have the children's very best interest in mind.
