Thx for asking such an intriguing question :-)

@ if i could clone one alive person: myself! :-)

And if I could, I would clone myself dozens of times lol.
Well, when I meet my first baby-clone, I would feel like as glad as I was father of a natural baby.

I don't think I would try to see myself in this new-born being, because I consider he is a human above all, a baby that needs protection & care like any other baby.

His mother & I would be very glad about this birth :-) - because he is our baby, not because he has the same genetic material as mine.

Given that I am 35, there would be a big age difference between me and "my" "clone" -baby. I definitely think he doesn't "belong" to me. He is not "my" clone.
Because of this big age-difference, i dont think i would see him as a twin. I am almost sure i would consider him as my son, simply, and that his mother is my wife :-)

But I think i will behave in a different way when he becomes a child, without a baby face anymore, because I think i will see lots of similarities with the way I look.

On the other hand, i am almost sure that he wouldn't have the same "identity" as mine.

I think that i would be even more attentive to him because i would also feel like facing my own inner-child...

- and well, I like my inner-child :-)

I would clone myself many times (if my wife agrees lol), because when they are adults, I want to go with them downtown, like a tribe a twins, scaring people in the street lol: see John Malkovich lol.

@ If we could clone one dead person:

Gosh, I have absolutely no idea... I don't see any dead person I would like to clone.

Well, this may mean that:

- i don't miss any dead person I knew to the point of cloning him/her. Mourning done;

- i don't see any dead human i would clone because of what his/her charism would bring to our planet

and right now, I am very glad to have such an opinion! I feel freed from any religious & spiritual beliefs about "super-beings".

Actually I will clone 2 people instead:
The muslim prophet and the christian messiah.
Just imagine the amount of trouble we can resolve: The Jewish-Palestinian conflict, The numerous terrorist groups with islamic background, scientology...
Even if they don't resolve the problems, jesus can go around reviving those that died from those pointless religion violence, and mohammad can give us an update of the religious text.

I'd clone Mozart 'cause he was a musical genius. And I'd make sure his clone lived past 35! Who knows what he would have accomplished if he lived longer.
