I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to remove wallpaper from a bathroom which has been painted over? I tried the papertiger with wallpaper removing gel but it is extremely difficult and I am getting to the wall and I am afraid to damage it. Should I even bother?

If it's already been painted over, I wouldn't even bother. Just put more paint on to hide the wallpaper better.

I had the best luck w/ a steamer and my wallpaper problem. It was put in and had been caked on since '74 and it came off pretty easily w/ enough steam!

My Mother-In-Law was insistant on that gel goo and all it did was leave an aweful residue for me to wash off.

The steamer, if when you get a good strip of wallpaper coming off, steam underneath what you've already pulled off and the rest will just FALL off! Good luck!
