Winning a match gets 3 points. Drawing a match gets 1 point. Losing a match does not get any points. The two teams with the highest points would go to the knock-out round. If you have two or more teams with the same amount of points, then they look at Goal-For and Goal-Against. Goal-For's are the goals that a team has got. Goal-Against's are the goals that a team has received from the opponents.

3 points if you win. 1 point if you draw. 0 points if you lose.

If at the end of the group stage two teams have the same number of points, the winner between the two is decided based on who has the better goal average (goals scored minus goals scored against), this rule was used in only one group this year.

It goes like this.. you get 3 points for a win and 1 point for a tie. no points for a loss. top 2 point getters move on... then if theres a tie it goes to goal differencial. Like if one team scores 4 goals but allows 3, and another team scores 5 goals but allows 3. The team with 5 goals moves on
