It's difficult to say exactly how long it will take any one individual or couple to get pregnant. Factors such as your age, general and reproductive health, and when you have intercourse all impact your chances of conceiving a child
However, these general statistics may give you an idea of how long it will take. Normally fertile couples have a 25 percent chance of getting pregnant each cycle, and a cumulative pregnancy rate of 75 to 85 percent over the course of one year. Still, some healthy couples can take even longer to get pregnant
And you can try to increase your likelihood of getting pregnant sooner by learning to pinpoint exactly when you ovulate, and by familiarizing yourself with the cyclic hormonal and physical changes that take place in your body each month.
I have included some links for you so you can do some reading and research on your body. OVULATION IS THE KEY TO GETTING PREGNANT! Remember that. These are the steps you need to take...
1.) Make an appt. with an OBGYN. He or She needs to give you a complete exam and make sure you are having regular periods, that your tubes are unblocked, and that you donot have anything else that may cause you to not get Pregnant ie...sexually transmitted diseases, PCOS, ect...
2.) You need to make sure that you are ovulating. Belive it or not, some women, do not ovulate. And as I said, Ovulation is the KEY to getting pregnant. To do this, you should buy a Basal Themometor (you can buy at almost any store where they sell regular themometors.) and start taking your temps EVERY MORNING BEFORE you get out of bed. to read more about this, check out this website for what they have to say about it.. http://www.mamasark.com/bbt.htm...
3.) you also need to learn to check your Cervix Position AND your Cervial Mucus everyday. To learn more about this check out these websites... http://www.webwomb.com/check_cervical_po...
and
http://www.webwomb.com/cervical_mucus_pa...
4.) Once you have got this all down you need a place to chart them all so that you can keep track of what your body is doing and when you ovulate. www.fertilityfriend.com is the best place to do this. It is a free site and it allows you to chart your temperature, your cervial mucus and position and helps detrmine when you ovulate.
*********OF COURSE YOU CAN ALWAYS JUST DO IT THE OLD FASHIONED WAY AND HAVE ALOT OF SEX AND HOPE FOR THE BEST! LOL But for your best chances, these are the steps you need to take!!*************
~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~PLEASE REMEMBER!!!! Even a 100% healthy couple only has a 40% chance of conciving each month, so dont get discouraged if it doesnt happen right away, even if you do all the things above. Just have fun with it, and do not make sex a chore or a job, just relax and enjoy eachother, and when the time is right, you will get Pregnant!
Good luck to you and TONS OF BABY DUST YOUR WAY!!!!! *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~...

There could be many factors.
First
It depends on how long you've been trying for?
A couple months is nothing.
The doctor told me if after 1 year nothing has happened they would run tests.
Second
It depends if you've been on the pill.
And for how long.
If you've been on the pill it could take up to 1 year to leave your system.
Third
Wrong timing.
Fourth
Trying to hard.
As I said there are many factors.
You need to weed out a few of them before you can come to a conclusion whether or not you should be consulting a doctor.
When I was having trouble....
It was when I finaly stopped thinking and worrying about it,
That it finaly happened
REMEMBER TRYING IS THE FUN PART
RELAX AND ENJOY THE EXPERIENCE.

Relax is the best motto, that's what the my gyb told me. You are trying to hard. You and you hubby are trying to hard. If you are having problems get yourself check by you gyb. You need to have a romantic atmosphere to conceive.
As my doctor said RELAX and let nature takes it course and when the time is right you will both become pregnant.. You might be preggie if your periods are a little different if you are spotting. Take care and good luck to the both of you.

To get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.
After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex. Tell your husband to ejaculate on his inward thrust so that the sperms will shoot deep inside.
After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up with a pillow under your buttocks so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.
Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 5 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.

There could be a multitude of factors.
Stress: The stress of trying to have a child could be the reason youre not getting pregnant. Relax, dont SCHEDULE sex, just have it when both of you are willing. Make it romanctic and its actually quite important for the woman to orgasm during "impregnation" sex. Her cervix begins spasming during climax, literally sucking the semen into the uterus, making it easier for the sperm to find the egg.
Physical: Could be you have a physcial problem or the problem could be your husbands. Something as simple as him wearing briefs instead of boxers could cause him to have a very low sperm count. And sometimes, the two people trying to have a baby are simply incompatible. Its got nothing with do with love, I mean chemically incompatible. Could be you have a Positive Blood Tpe and he has a Negative, something like that.
If you really truly want to raise kids, try adoption. Theres are literally tens of thousands of unwanted children out there, just waiting for your love and wisdom to raise them to be productive adults.
My best friends parents tried for years to have their own, nothing happened. They adopted one young boy, started raising him as their own and within a year she was pregnant with my friends oldest sister. They eventually had 3 more of their own, for a total of 5. Sometimes getting into "Mommy Mode" breaks the "vapor lock on your uterus", sorry to be crude but I couldnt think of another clever way to say it.
Good luck and I hope I helped.

A healthy couple only has only a 25% chance of conceiving every month! Doctors usually say that you should only be concerned after a whole year of trying to conceive. After a year, see your doc about how to up your chances. I'm trying to conceive too, the wait is frustrating but unavoidable.

Go get a book called " what to expect when you are expecting". It's the pregnancy bible and will help with all these questions. It's excellent in describing all of these little things that worry moms and help distinguish when something is "normal" or not.
Good Luck!

There are so many things that can prevent a pregnancy. If you have been trying for more than a year...your best bet is to have a fertilty workup with your ob/gyn.
That would help rule out and hormonal issues, sperm quality issues and blockage issues.
