how does the internet narrow sown searches?

The Internet narrows its search by the information you search on. for example, if you did a search under - the brown fox that jumps the lazy dog - you would get a search back on every word however, if you enclose it - "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" - the the Internet searches on the exact phrase.

this help me alot..

eg: i want to search something about alternative fuel
then i type at google:
+"alternative fuel" +"non fosil" +"new"

instead of
alternative fuel
