I was told by a doctor a couple of years ago that if it was the size of a quarter to get into his office. It was bigger than that- ER immediately. Hope this helps. Good luck to you.

I read this article and it said that most spider bites usually can be cured by simply taking good care of it, keeping the bite clean, and go to your local drug store and pick something up for it. A cooling cream, or a gel of some sort. If it does get much worse though and you start having other symptoms such as nausea, headaches, chills, fevers, etc., then call your physician immediately.
Good luck and I hope you feel better soon!

If it is just a red bump and a little itching. I wouldn't worry.
If it starts red and turns darker? Then dark radiations expanding out from the bite. See a doctor.
They say there are over 100,000 species of spiders. Where I live... we have them all plus a few that is not cataloged.
In the woods...the brighter it's color the more poisonous.

It depends, how big was the spider and how big is the bite?
I think I would go to the doctor if I noticed an abnormal thing on my thigh.

Spider bite, basically, reduces the calcium content in the blood by which the Heart beat starts increasing.
If your heart beat starts increasing more than normal you should understand that you should be treated immediately.

If it hurts, then you should probably get it checked out. But I think you should anyways cuz if its that big it doesn't sound normal. Good luck with that
