If you've overheated it several times I'd say you've probably killed it. You could have blown head gaskets and if your oil looks like chocolate milk it's pretty much toast.

Worst case scenario: you have a head gasket which is leaking coolant/antifreeze into the cylinders or oil pan. Not much you can do about it. You could change the head gasket, but the car is too old. Its not worth it. I still think Buick is a great car!

Replace your fuel filter, really really is overlooked in older cars. It's fairly inexpensive, if that doesn't work, I agree with the other poster, replace the cat converter. A little more expensive.

Perhaps you have a clogged catalytic converter.
