i just got my period last week and i was on birth control. ( i have been on birth control for almost a year now) I stopped taking it last week when my period ended, i never started my new pack. It has now been a week later and i have my period again. Is this normal that i will have my period in a 2 week span cuz i stopped my birthcontrol. Will someone please tell me if this is normal?

It can take a while for a woman’s body to adjust back to a normal menstrual cycle when she has stopped taking hormonal forms of birth control. While some women may return to a normal menstrual cycle right away, others can take as long as a year.

Yes it is normal to stop your pills and get another period..pills contain a hormone that prevents implantation...we as women especially are hormone driven and when we stop a hormone that stimulates changes our hormones bleeding is one of the symptoms..remember now that you have stopped your pills you have a higher chance of getting pregnant..you should be on at least two full packs before stopping a secondary precaution (condom) if you are in a monogamous relationship..if you are not then please keep using a barrier device as a condom for sex because of all the STD's out there..the pill doesn't prevent that.
