At the time the show came out everyone loved Bill Cosby ( I still love you BIll) and it was a good way to have people watch. You see The cosby show in the TV guide your like yeah that will be funny, but you see The Huxtables and your like who the heck are they.

The man who is the producer is named Bill Cosby and so he wanted his name to be on the title I guess. I never thought about that. But it is kind of weird.
