In the majority of cases frozen shoulder sorts itself out in 18 months to 2 years regardless of the treatment used, and many of the treatments, including painful exercises, can make the condition worse. This has helped quite a few people do try:
Stand a couple of feet away from the corner of a table, facing the table with legs slightly more than shoulder width apart. Put the hand of your 'good arm' on the corner of the table and lean forward so it supports your body weight, and so that the hand of your 'bad' arm (the one with the frozen shoulder) is hanging down. Let your bad arm just hang there. Do NOT swing your bad arm. GENTLY rotate your hips and upper body in a circular motion. You will notice that your hanging arm also rotates very gently in the same direction. Allow your hanging arm to move naturally. After a few rotations (up to a dozen) pause for a few seconds, then rotate the hips and body in the opposite direction for up to a dozen times.
If you find it relieves the pain, then the next time your shoulder is painful repeat the exercise. After doing the exercise a few times try doubling the number of rotations to see if this increases the period of relief.

Though some answe(s) suggest there is no remedy, ayurveda has a remedy. There is a formulation called Vat Gajankush Ras, available in most online pharmacies, which can cure this ailment, if taken for 6 to 12 months time. Time depends on how old the ailment, how much the intensity etc. Light to digest diet, plenty of water and some healthy walk everyday is also essential. Take 2 tablets twice a day, after lunch and dinner. Early to bed, early rise, morning walk on wet grass if possible, light diets means rice, lentils, sprouts, green leafy veggies, fruits, no sour items, lemon exception.
Ayurveda considers not only medicine but lifestyle also.
If you are in India, you can undertake Basti, a panchkarma procedure for expediting the recovery.
What is given here is not to substitute regular medical advise by your doctor. Secondly though a formulation is suggested, you will be taking at your own risk. It can be bought online.

Frozen shoulder is a disorder characterized by pain and loss of motion or stiffness in the shoulder. The cause is not understood. Anti-inflammatory medications can be taken for the pain. These include ibuprofen or Naprosyn, as well as injections, such as corticosteroids. Physical therapy and at-home exercises are usually helpful. If this fails, nerve blocks are sometimes used along with more aggressive physical therapy. Surgery is considered when there is no improvement in pain or shoulder motion after an appropriate course of physical therapy and anti-inflammatory medications.

First go to see a Physiotherapy clinic, for immediate relief. If the pain can be cured then it is OK. If they suggest because the pain and the condition persists contact a neuro-physician. Ayurvedic treatment is good if you hit the right therapy. If you meet someone who is an expert (don't go by personal experiences alone) & prepared for a long haul you would get a permanent cure as it encompasses your diet, life-style and even your emotional state. Plus there are many home-remedies available from sources like on-line sites & some TV channels airing programmes on Ayurvedic cure.

Frozen shoulder is a condition where the main Rotators of the shoulder: supraspinatus,
infraspinatus,
teres minor &
subscapularis
start to become hypertonic(tight) and your range of motion is decreased...happens alot to people who have diabetes. The best option is to see a Massage Therapist.(which I am!)if you cannot right away, apply heat to your shoulder(moist if you can)for about 15-20 mins. Then stretch in the motions you find are hard to.Hold for about 30 secs.Do each stretch 3x's.If you don't get this treated, it will only get worse.good luck.

as others have explained the frozen shoulder conditions, i`ll skip that. i have sufferred from it and went thro the mill for its cure, but unfortunately, most branches of medicine has no cure. at the end, docs end up suggesting surgery. However, i was fortunate to come across an good accu-pressurist and after about 5 sessions with him, i have 98 % relief in pain, my movements are now as free as they were, i can lift weight and do all normal body tasks. I suggest the same for you.

Frozen shoulder is caused by a malposition of the joint in the shoulder. Go see a chiropractor and get the shoulder manipulated to restore the joint to proper biomechanical condition.

You can try getting a massage to help ease your pain and an anti-inflammatory medicine. Ice will also help.
