Sometime some people give out the DUMBEST questions and us people have to answer them hmmm.....Why can't anyone have common knowledge questions and answers, like who cares about the whole msn thing or other stupid topics some of you come out with. I mean come on NOT everyone can sit infront of their PC and read bunch of crappy stuff...Who here agrees with me write back and your opinion.

And I MUST answer it!
You know Jackie some persons...they need a answer on their question but when it comes to writing they cannot describe the question very well...if I don't understand the question very good I email the sender(in our case this is you Jackie).I understanded you and your quesiton.You putted some main topics and what you agree and don't agree.But some of us...they want answer but they cannot write a question!And that line "I mean come on NOT everyone can sit infront of their PC and read bunch of crappy stuff..."Well...why are you reading it?I'm answering only that questions that I know answer for.I can read the whole question in the name of question.If I know the answer ok,if I don't then nothing...but you made a good point.

Just because the questions aren't relevant to what YOU know doesn't make them stupid. To the enquirer the question may be very serious. Obviously there are the idiots that ask or answer with very stupid/rude things but instead of sniping about it just ignore them and move on to the next question. This is a question and answer site.... not a general knowledge quiz.

Well, your question seems pretty stupid, too. People have the right to ask stupid questions, but you don't HAVE to answer them. This isn't your job or a test. You don't get paid for it. If you don't want to "read a bunch of crappy stuff"... DON'T. Take your cursor up to the little "x" in the top right corner of your screen and left click. Voila! All this goes away!

Consider yahoo answers as menu card in a restaurant, what ever you like and want to know only then take the trouble of clicking on that question, or else don't bother and sign out.
Thousand of members are benefited by some prompt and detailed answers by the intelligent members.
There are always few dumb guys in every party,just ignore them or have a fun.

I agree, some of the people have nothing better to do than sit around and think up the most ridiculous question they can, but I ignore them don't even open their question just move on to the next one. I disagree also because many people have a legitimate need for advice, it has really helped me when they answer my questons honestly.

I agree that a lot of the questions here are ridiculous. What I find annoying are the constant misspellings and abbreviations. I wish they would have age requirements on here, there are way too many kids...or a separate area for adult only questions & answers. Just my opinion.

You have a point; but some are the questions are alright. Not all are bad; but there are some extremely stupid. Make me wanna kill them.

How do you define "stupid" questions?
I think Yahoo doesn't control it and it doesn't want to control it. Stupid questions will fall off and filter out gradually.

well, yeah. but some people ask questions where they've searched the WHOLE internet, and they haven't found an answer, and they might be really desperate and need an answer! so, all in all, it's pretty good.
