sitting in the office and don't know how to get rid of it....

If the item is machine washable put a can of coca-cola in the wash water and let soak for about 15 mins then re-start machine and it should remove the oil from the garment.

Go to the bathroom, and get some liquid hand soap and rub it undiluted into the material. Wash when you get home. Also you didn't say what kind of oil? If motor oil you've got a deeper stain. But the soap should break down any type to some degree.

Take it to a good dry cleaner. I had oil stain on my silk and it all came out. $8. It was worth it.

There is a product called Lestoil it is designed for oily laundry, There are some weird answers on this but use the Lestoil, it will work.

Dawn dish liquid, let it set for a few hours and throw it in the washer.

just soap and water for now. when you get home, use shout stain spray. that stuff works on nearly everything.

last recourse is lighter fluid on it before you wash it.
