I would like to get the number to CDOT for cdl drivers in the state of Ill. I knoe of an insulin dependant driver who oftens has boughts of very low blood sugars and has to stop on the road or have someone pick him up . He does not have this info on any of his DOT physicals

Since you already got the info you asked for just a quick comment. Diabetics, whether insulin dependent or not, cannot be taken off the road just because of the diabetes. If, however, the disease (and that is exactly what it is) is not controlled resulting in bouts of low blood sugar the diabetic will act as if drunk and, if not treated, will go into a coma. Having someone drive a truck with uncontrolled diabetes (note the uncontrolled) is like playing Russian roulette with 5 out of 6 chambers loaded. BTW that person should not be driving at all. Once he or she is in control then and only then should they get behind the wheel.
