I have heard that there is a web address that you can go on and view anywhere from a satellite in real time.

Not for the public! There are sites that you can view pictures of satellite images. Google Earth provides this.

Google Earth is awesome, and free, but isn't in real time. there is also Terraserver http://www.terraserver.microsoft.com/
and http://local.live.com/ from Microsoft.

Well, concerning a real time viewer, I don't think u can get that so easy!
But you still can see ur house as a still image through one of the following:

It can't be google earth. Google earth isn't real time.

google earth... it works well in cities (NYC is awesome to look at, so it Tokyo) but in rural or suburban communities it is much harder to pick out specific streets on the map

google earth or globeexplorer will show you your house but its not in real time.
