starting from the top in Estonia ,it is very well worth seeing as is Latvia. Both countries have sustained the tyranny of communism, but never lost their pride, heritage or sense of who they were. Now as they recover and regaintheir national idenity the cities, countrysides and standards are wonderful. They truely enjoy what has been regained & are showing with pride a new life, restaurants,clubs,museums,arts/music food & cleanliness abound. It goes equally for Latvia.Much to see and savor in both Tallin & Riga, but don't forsake the countrysides or the coasts.Take the long distant buses between countries it will afford you beautiful sights along the way & is very affordable. Many see western europe ie: Paris,Rome London but few venture to see much of the forgotten europe,be adventuresome & tread to places others have not gone, you will be rewarded they are not 3rd world countries.I am going to go back.

Since Im living very close to Estonia and have been there billion times, I can only suggest to go there in spring and summer. Go see the country side - its very beautiful. Plus, in the capital city Tallin there are lots of historic buildings etc.
Anyway, if you do decide to visit this Baltic state, maybe you should take more time and visit all 3 of them - Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Im sure you would enjoy it and would have lasting memories.

I guess it depends how far you would be going and whether you can afford it. It's hardly worth travelling halfway round the world for but if it's only a couple of hours from where you are then sure it's worth a visit. I hear that Tallinn (the capital city) is quite nice.

Estonia is a very nice country - one of the 'so called' Baltic states with the capital Tallinn. The country is rich with nice landscapes and it is in Eastern Europe, so if you're interested, i think you won' regret it. Just try spring, summer seasons - winter and falls can be very chilly.

I've been to Tallinn (the capital). I stayed there for a few days and I had a great time. I don't regret going there. I'd say it's worth visiting, but I guess it depends on what kind of a holiday you have in mind.
