Aren't conservative politics equally about human rights vis a vis property rights? Aren't property rights what has made civilization civil? Is the right justified in fearing the left because they are threatening the human rights that come with property rights?

Property rights contribute to human rights until laws respect every individual and do not put his/her rights in a lower position than those of authority, usually presented as "public interest". Authoritarism is dangerous and it may be as left, as right, no matter.

Consevatives may conserve very bad historically formed unfair situations as well, e.g. continuation of racism.

More technologies are developed, greater the threat of power disbalance between people and more dangerous the extreme liberalism becomes. I think a balance is important and lack of left forces lead to bad development of some countries. And to a bad type of globalisation.

Dont put your trust in men they will fail time and time again.
Proven point, they are all insane cause
the definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over and expecting a different result.
noone is civil, look at the war in iraq and the crimes of our goverment and their population control policies, denying the poor food until they used birth control.
that is not civil, and your tax dollars paid for it.
Read your bible, it will tellyou, then the pharisees in the court systme make you swear on it but they don't follow it do they?
they make you declare a label for christianity then hold it against you.
so put your trust the only place it wont be broken son.

Never thought of it that way but if I must describe myself in Conservative/Liberal terms - I am an economic conservative and social liberal. I don't care how people live their lives as long as I don't have to be taxed for it!
Now if you are asking if in American politics do either Liberals or Conservatives care more about human life - the answer is niether of them care weather the rest of usllive or die. They are all sold out to the lobbies of Insurances, Pharmaceutical Companies, Trial attornies, organized labor, NRA, AARP, Avengelical church, etc, etc., And they don't even have the moral stance as to whom they are sold out to. Its the lobbies who pick and chose them -like the customer would choose a girl in a bordelo- to buy out!

Conservative politics are generally about life, liberty, and personal freedom.

Liberal politics are generally about bondage, death, control, and property rights only for the select elite.

Ideologies don't love anything, and they usually come with built-in denial of some obvious fact of life.
