I think it means that you can see people that lets say aren't to successful having potential. A diamond might be obviously pretty at the first glance, but with a unpolished stone you have to look hard and deep to see it.

Rapid. Diamonds are sparkling facet, possibly confering a metaphoprical genius. An unpolished stone, possibly a dullard. Brillance in an unpolished stone would be the intelligence of a dullard. Of course it can be right and it is totally true. But some guys would say that the diamond is made by the geological processes and stones are unpolished diamonds but don't beleive it. It cannot be doubted that he is refering to intelligence.

If you have the intelligence to recognize the sparkling facets in a diamond then you also have the intelligence to know what makes a diamond sparkle. All you have to do is put that same effort into a diamond that is unpolished and you will have a beautiful sparkling diamond yourself.

Take what you have and make it better!!!

It means that it's obvious to see the beauty in a diamond, it's right there in front of your face, but a regular stone also has beauty [if you look harder].
Basically everything is beautiful.
