you probably wont get any guarantees.apparently they dont care about the dog's welfare .I would not return the dog.

Keep the dog at your place. You'll know it will never be allowed to roam the street and there you have it..your own personal guarantee about this.

ask the dog to sign a contract that he wont roam around by the ex's house. its a dog what guarantee do u want??????
