Yes, there are different types of sharks. There are over 360 described species of sharks with about 550 species estimated by scientists to exist. Not all of them have been found and classified yet. They are grouped into 8 orders. The vast majority of sharks are actually smaller than a human and not generally considered dangerous. There are about 20 or 30 or so species larger than a human and only about half of these have ever attacked and viciously wounded or even killed a human.

Yes, there are about 455 different species of living sharks.

They range from the huge basking sharks and whale sharks to the great white and down to little dogfish and the tiny spined pygmy shark, only 6 inches long.

In addition to the weird forms like hammerheads, there are also the primitive six-gilled sharks, sawfish sharks, manta rays, and wobbegones.

The sharks are an ancient and diverse group, with a wide variety of different species adapted for all kinds of different lifestyles.

there's tons of different sharks
there are goblin sharks, cookie cutter sharks,nurse sharks,whale sharks,zebra sharks,dwarf lantern sharks,swell sharks, tiger sharks,lemon sharks...
ranging from the smallest (dwarf lantern) being 6 inches, to the largest (whale shark) @ 39 feet 4 inches
and,"they" are finding NEW species every day!!...
