I've shaved before, and regretted it, cos the regrowth is so god-damn itchy. If you do want to tame the forrest, trim the hairs with scissors and pluck, or wax the hairs that go astray. You can even shape it into cool shapes. Or wax it all for a clean brazillian. Painful, I know, but so worth it.
