Ask same certificates from the boy!
If they agree without any brooding, then they are genuine people and really concerned with today's falling moral standards. Tha is they are looking for the best match for their son.
If they make faces, then simply ignore this match as they are typically conservative and obsolete people who may react anti women at times.
This suggestion comes from a boy in Delhi, India.

Byee, take care

Are you both (bride and groom) from very traditional families? If so, you may need to consent before the groom will be allowed to marry you. If you say no, at best the families will think you are no longer a virgin, and at worst, the groom's family will not allow the marriage. If you care for him, it's likely easier to consent, so everyone will be happy. Good luck to you.

Forget the family, what does the groom say? If you love him and he loves you surely you should trust eachother on this and be able to talk. If he says he wants proof then he is not worthy of you. If he says it is needed not for him but to keep the family happy then its your call. You could just do it and all will be well or you could tell him to say no to them and put you first. The problem here is that he may do as you ask but could pay a terrible price in losing people he cares for as well.

Hell not, if his family is all up in your bussiness like this, they'll be all up in your bussiness for the rest of their lives. And how do you certify a female as a virgin. Who looks at it and says, yup she's a virgin? Break it off before his parents try to controll your life.

You didn't mention that what's your would be's response.
And I have to know how far you involved in this alliance.
Well.
Why don't you call your man on a coffee shop meeting to discuss about this issue?
Tell him clearly you don't like this even though you are eligible.
If he can understand you, you can trust him.
Otherwise, he too insisting test, better you drop him.

You cant live with a suspecting crew arround you.

That is definitely something to think about. If they do no trust you about such an important matter, the it may be pretense for things to come if you marry. If you love the man enough though, you will be able to deal with his family.

Why would you want to marry someone who doesn't know you, love you, or even trust you to be a virgin? Marry for love - your heart will tell you who the man is you belong with.
