South Africa has already hosted the Cricket World Cup and Rugby World Cup although the soccer will be a bit different.
The heat will not be a great problem as temperatures will be similar to some experienced recently in Europe and not as humid it as was in Japan/Korea.
Altitude can pose initial problems but I am sure that most countries will have acclimatised by then.
A major problem will be getting ready in time.
There is no public transport to speak of so most people use cars which creates tremendous congestion,
The rail system in use is outdated and crimeridden including murders.
Locals use "taxis" which are un-roadworthy mini-busses.
Crime is rife including car-hijackings, muggings, and kidnapping.
The government has many accusations against it for various cases of corruption, and major contracts seem to fall to a "chosen few" Billions are allegedly being spent on new
infrastructure, stadia and a new "super-train" but progress so far has been slow. Undoubtably a beautiful country with many contrasts and IF it is ready will produce a good World cup, but Germany 2006, will take some beating..it was fabulous

I believe that the WC 2010 will witness the first time where the host country will not make it through the first round.
Anyway, SA is a great touristic place, and the South Africans will earn a lot of money from hosting the WC.

It is the first time will be open a new era in the history of african's in world foot ball. It initiates more African's to pull towards the interesting world foot ball match. So south African's work harder to attract the eyes of thoseComing from different angles.

Not at all thinking about S Africa but the WC tournament itself; this time weather will be a major factor for teams to consider - not at all optimistic about S African 2010 - it'll have to prove itself. Can they actually host a worldclass sporting event?

I hate to be the single to assert this, yet I surely do unlike how this is going to likely be in South Africa. i don't understand why, yet to me it does not seem as though it would be as super there because it became in Germany (even nonetheless that one specific incident got here approximately). Sorry to disillusioned a number of you, yet that's merely my opinion.
