and yes I know what a tweaker really is. What I want to know is do you constantly give just one little last touch to everything you do or create?Or do you know when enough is enough?

Yes, definitely! Often when I write an answer to a question, I will check back in a day or so to see if I've expressed my thoughts fully. Rarely does a check-back go by without a tweak to a sentence or vocabulary. My house work, cooking, and even grooming are also usually tweaked after the chore should be done. But tweaking can be counter-productive. I am an oil painter, and I have to muster up all my self-discipline not to go back and continually tweak a painting I've done once I have declared it finished. To do so can take away the freshness of the work, or worse, muddy the paint. It takes a long time to dry, but once six months have passed I will varnish it. To paint on the varnish is a "no, no" so it is only then that I know a painting is safe from my further meddling. Interesting question! I enjoyed the self-reflection.

I am definitely a tweaker! I enjoy writing and I've found that I usually need at least three passes at something to get it just right. Sometimes much more, other times less. I'll usually take a break from a piece and go back later to get a fresh perspective. It's amazing what jumps out when you do that.
I can do "one shot" work too of course. But a true masterpiece always needs a little tweaking.
I do that in other areas as well. I like to cook and I always tweak recipes until I get them just right.
But whatever it is, when it's done, it's done. I do know when enough is enough.

No I'm a slacker! Most often I think that no matter how hard you try, you can't totally control how something turns out so your tweaking may not make a difference in the grand scheme of things.

Sometimes the fun is in tweaking the details, though!

Nope, I actually could use a little more tweaking often enough.
